About the jjwxc stuff

jjwxc stuff

Copying and paste what was originally on the Translations page here, so it’s not junking up that page anymore.

****Update****

Y’all may or may not have heard, but jjwxc has decided to launch an international site for translations. The new international site should have translated and machine translated options available in English, with other languages coming later, for authors who have made their works available for translation. See this thread for more information.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a Mainland China ID, so I can’t apply under their current rules. I also don’t necessarily feel qualified to work as a paid translator, especially not without an editor. I’m not a native speaker, and I wouldn’t feel comfortable at my current level translating something historical, xuanhuan/wuxia, etc. while taking people’s money. Furthermore, the contract is really iffy with compensation, translation ownership and rights, information security, etc. If this changes in the future, I will update here.

What this means for the translations posted here: I don’t want my stuff scraped and posted somewhere else for profit, and I really don’t want to be DMCA’d or sued. I will be stopping the Little Gods translation after the end of the first story (later chapters are VIP, so they have a higher probability of plagiarism/DMCA), at least until things cool down and get sorted out with jj. As for the short stories, those were available for free on jj, so I don’t see them being plagiarized or DMCA’d. Any additional projects I work on will be from alternative sites, or freely available on JJWXC. I really don’t feel like password protecting stuff, and that’s not even a guaranteed fix for either issue.

I’m sorry about this. Please understand!
